Q: Is the final day for submitting the works July 31 in Japan time?

A: Yes, if the works were sent to us from other parts of Japan. However, in case the works were sent from the countries other than Japan, this final day is extended by one day. Please be sure that the works be delivered to us before the final day indicated above. Even if the works should be delivered to us AFTER the final day owing to insufficient postal service, we shall not bear any responsibility for it.

Q: What is JPEG form?

A: It is one of the picture data formats which is suitable for dealing with photo pictures. In the case of Photoshop, please choose JPEG form when you preserve the file. In the case of Illustrator, please choose JPEG form when you write out the data.

Q: What is the color palette form?

A: Among the data which express colors, there are several forms such as RGB form, CYMK form, Index form and so on. RGB form is the one used in general paint-type picture softwares. CYMK form is the one in softwares related to printing.

Q: What is PC format?

A: When initializing of floppy disk using Macintosh plathome, you can choose either Apple format mode or PC format mode. When you initialize your floppy disk by PC format mode, the data inside the floppy disc can also be read and written by Windows plathome (although depending on the type of the data). However, those floppy disks initialized by Apple format mode cannot be read or written by Windows plathome. Our executive office uses both Windows and Macintosh plathome. Therefore, we would like to ask the applicants who use Macintosh plathome and plan to submit his or her data by means of floppy disks initialized by PC format. The easiest way is to purchase and use the floppy disks with either "Windows format" or "MS-DOS format" labeled on their packages.
